     that’s what a doctor stated to my husband – at age 16. 
     geez!
     many of us would have left that office, convinced we had only 12 years of mobility [...]

It seems to me so strange this way,
Of wearing a disguise;
The ones we wear most every day,
Our masks we make with lies.
I admit I own more than a few,
I wear to hide behind;
And if you were to see right through,
I fear for what you’d find.
There are the times I’m really lost,
